Hey, don't believe me.. Believe what other customer said..

You can read these customer reviews below that is taken from the original site.

"........I want to rate this device at 3.5, but I had to give it a 4 because I feel it is better than a rating of three. Read my in depth user and shopper friendly review to find out why..... I already own a Samsung Galaxy 4" player. Though it runs on a slightly older Android operating system (Gingerbread), it is for the most part excellent. The reason I bought the Mach speed 7" trio was as a present for my six year old son. Being this tablet is for a child i did not want to spend a lot of money out of fear of it getting broken or misplaced. I purchased this tablet at Sears for 100.00, before going online and reading any reviews about it. I see here on Amazon a lot of negative reviews for it, and I feel that the majority of those reviews come from un-savvy tech users or first time Droid users. So being fairly tech savvy (I like to hack things), I felt compelled to write a review that could easily be understood by all into the pros and cons of this device to help all buyers make a good purchasing decision. Pros: Cost, screen, usability., durability, comes rooted (unlocked). Cons: No Google Play, wifi reception is weak. No usb charging, time to set it up. The price is right for this tablet, and its construction seems no better or worse than any other tablet I have held or seen. It feels fairly solid. Make sure to give it a full charge with the included Ac adapter before using. The screen on this thing is not great like an Apple or Samsung, but it is definitely GOOD. The resolution is only slightly lower than my Samsung, and for most people, I dont think they would even know the difference, as everything is displayed fine. The screen is very responsive to touch. At first I thought the graphics were a little fuzzy, but then I realized there is a thin plastic film on top of the screen, like a screen protector, once I removed this the graphics on the screen were very good. I have a feeling some of the other posters on here did not realize this. The brightness is also fine, though I went into the settings and manually turned my brightness up. I actually prefer typing on this 7" tablet compared to my 4" galaxy, because the 7" keyboard is larger. The motion sensors work well also, I have no issues with rotating the screen. I have not tried the camera yet, for taking pictures or video, so I can not comment on that. The speed of this machine is fine, it is slower than my Samsung, but it is still plenty usable. It uses an 1.2 ghz single core Arm Processor with 512 megs of ram. Though my samsung galaxy is also single core at the same speed with the same amount ram, it is faster than the Mach Trio and feels snappier. This could be because of the different versions of Droid running on each, I dont know. I would say the Mach Trio feels like a medium speed machine, and will be fine for most people. One big issue though that really affects the feeling of speed on this machine is the Wifi. The Wifi reception on this machine is not very good. I have two wireless routers in my house. I have one downstairs and one upstairs in my room. When I first started setting this machine up I tried using the downstairs router, the signal showed two bars, but the Mach Trio just clunked along, the internet was painfully slow, and every app I tried to download would time out. My samsung galaxy or laptops would work fine at this distance from that router. I was ready to return it to Sears. I then tried switching routers to the upstairs router, which was in the same room I was sitting in. HUGE difference. The machine is fine on the internet now, and I have no problems downloading apps or browsing the internet. The Youtube app is particularly quick, even faster than my Samsung Galaxy. Keep in mind though I am less than ten feet from the wireless router. I find this to be a inherent flaw. If you plan on using our Mach Trio were you have two bars or less of internet on this or any other device, forget about it. It will be painfully slow. You are going to need to be close to your wifi to use this for online capabilities. Another issue I have with the Mach Trio is its usb capabilities. The usb plug works fine for file transfers with my PC. However, it says in the owners manual to only charge this unit with the AC adapter (wall plug), and not the usb. I find that to be inconvenient, as a wall outlet is not always available, nor do I want to have to carry a wall plug with me everywhere. Set up, settings, and Apps. The Mach trio comes with almost none. It does come with a few things, like widgets for time, a HD video player, a music player, a youtube app, a web browser, a calculator, and thats about it. I also had no issue setting up my google email account on it, and the Mach Trio would notify me when ever I got a new email, regardless of what ever else i was doing on it. Settings on the Trio are great because it is rooted, meaning that the hardware is unlocked and you have access to user settings you normally would not be able to get too. This is useful. I had to get used to the features and settings of this new version of the Droid operating system, as my samsung galaxy uses an older version. So there was a slight learning curve but nothing much. Without downloading apps on this device, it is basically a mp3 player and web surfer, so you are going to need to set this thing up to get apps on it to use it for its full potential. I tried to set up Google Play on this device in order to download apps from Google, but was unable too. Instead I downloaded the Amazon Appstore app. You need to have an Amazon account to use this, and they will require a credit card. Personally, I find the Android App a pain in the a$$, but they have all the same apps for download as Google Play, and lots of free ones. I was able to download many free games for my son to play, and he is happy. The Mach Trio is playing the games with no issues. In fact he is sitting next to me right now playing a game and listening to music at the same time on his Mach Trio. Conclusion: I would say this is a decent Droid tablet if you get a good price on it, and if you are somewhat tech savvy and literate. It will take you a couple of hours to set it up to get the full functionality from it. Once you do set it up, a novice will have no issue using it. If you are a novice or tech illiterate, you would be better off spending more and getting a tablet that already comes set up and preloaded with the apps for you. That will also save you frustration and time, but will cost you about twice as much. If you are some what tech savvy and dont mind spending a little time in setting up and getting to know your device, and are in the market for a cheap tablet, and none of the limitations I previously mentioned will be a big factor for you, I would say this is a definite buy!......."

What other customer said at the original site:

".......So I ordered this tablet from the manufacturer and the ship estimate was about a month out, so I ordered it from Amazon instead and it shipped within the week. I got the product and I love this tablet, the stylus is great, the tablet feels sturdy, and it works great. I will say it is not as snappy as say the galaxy tab, but this has plenty of features that I think more than make up for it such as the as card reader, full USB port. It is much more professional than many other tablets and is well worth it......."

Hey, don't trust me.. Trust what other customer said..

Read the customer reviews below:

"........i purchased the Eee Transformer 2 weeks ago. I intended to buy an IPad with a keyboard, buy the Transformer looked interesting enough to buy and try. I do not work for ASUS, Here's what I like: 1. The battery life is incredible. I use the tablet for work and in the evenings while my son is at basketball practice. Never see the battery meter drop below 1/2. 2. The SD and USB slots rock. And if that's not enough, ASUS gives you cloud access. This is a sweet feature with my android phone (Samsung) 3. Tablet alone has a nice feel and I don't use any protector. There's no issues with any slippery or smooth feel. I gave the tablet 5 stars because I really can find any issues which I don't like. Remote access, emails, news feeds were really simple to set-up. It's not 3G, but where I live, there's lots of wifi spots........"

"........Okay, I've had this little gem for about 5 days now. I was looking for a ten inch tab, but didn't have a lot of cash. I already have the Acer Iconia A-100, which is a great tablet. But i wanted a 10 incher. When i first got it, it ran fine but there was no Google App Store, bummer, So I got the Amazon App Store. everything was working fine but when I loaded Netflix it didn't work, the app loaded fine but the screen would just go blank. I called Coby Customer Service and they said it was a problems with Adobe flash not running right? Anyways, with Coby you actually get a live person however, you may not get one that knows anything. So i looked around on the internet and found that this is a problem with the tablet. I also found a solution. A tech advised to reboot the system and erase factory files. Here is the message ---- "Power the unit off (holding power buttom) and selecting Power off, then hold simultaneusly back button and on buttom 8 seconds, when the android icon appears press the back button, in the menu select wipe data/factory reset pressing home buttom and then press back buttom, in the next screen select "yes delete all user data" pressing back buttom, and in the next screen select "reboot system now" with the back buttom and wait. IT WORK FOR MY TABLET." ------ After doing this download the Good e-Reader app store through Getjar. The Good e-Read app store has everything. Netflix now works great on my tablet. I was also able to down load pretty much every app the Google Play Store has. They even have the Google Play Store app. Anyways, after doing this my tablet runs smoother, seems to be faster and everything works. Took this tablet from a 3 to a 5 star. I now love this tablet. Oh, when doing this it will erase things (music, pics, videos) on the tablet but not on the SD Card........"

Hey, don't believe me.. Believe what other customer said..

You can see these customer reviews below that is taken from the original online shop.

"........This is my second xoom - they're exactly the same, apart from the 3G capabilities (my first didnt have it) - I got the thumb keyboard installed (free app) that alows me to customize the keyboard for a better typing experience. The cameras are great (front and back) and I have my screen off setting for 30 min (I know, a lot - but I use the tablet for live music, where my lyrics and chords are, and sometimes I play a few songs by heart, and dont want the screen turning off during that time) - I can go almost 10 hours straight without recharging it (two five hour shows, without a problem) with the 3g off. The 3g uses more battery, but I don't know how much - I turned it off pre-emptively, so no way of telling. Not a bjg gamer, but a few I added on it worked great. I don't like apple's policy overall, and don't own any mac products - I do recognize they're great, but if you look closely, you will ALWAYS find alternatives that are as good, or better - the zoom is definitively one of those alternatives........"

E-Fun Nextbook Premium 8se 8-Inch Android 4.0 Tablet

Read the customer reviews below that taken from the original online shop:

".......I recently bought myself a Nexus 7 32Gb tablet, after realizing the tablet potential for all the e-mail accounts and other things I have to keep track of, which my Blackberry was getting really tiring. My wife started looking at the Nexus, and asked if their was a simpler version we could get her. I said I would simply buy her a Nexus, but then she found, (sorry Amazon), this unit on a Black Friday special at Big Lots, of all places, for Seventy Eight Dollars! I got up at 5AM, reached the Big Lots at 6:05AM, and found out that I was already number 12 in line for one of these. (Who storms Big Lots on Black Friday? Turns out, a LOT of people do!) I have to say, now that we have installed it onto our home wireless system, (matched up seamlessly with our cranky 2Wire AT&T modem), it has been wonderful for my wife, who really wants to use it as a reader, (B&N included), watch cooking videos over the Internet, and do some other simple searches on the Internet. What it does: Internet, B&N bookstore, Google store, Amazon Store, Getjar a great apps finder, Chrome Google, takes a 32Gb micro SD for huge storage, and all the usual basic things like picture storage. The 32Gb chip will show up as a separate drive. Supports Gmail and hotmail, all others you just gotta try. (Did NOT support out Bellsouth accounts, so she cannot access her e-mail.) The SVGA 800X600 resolution is just fine, and although not HD, you can clearly see everything, and the 8" screen makes some of the small type just slightly bigger, which is great for us glasses people. It also comes with an honest wall wart charger, not the silly USB cable into a special wall plug, so technically, you could use this as an additional hard drive and USB this to your computer while still having it plugged into the wall to not deplete the battery. Supports all the game apps, like Angry Birds and tens of thousands of others. Since it open to B&N, Google, and you can join the Amazon store with this, it goes where the much more expensive ones go. What it does NOT do: Support all e-mail formats, no voice command, no NFC (Near Field Communication), no HD, camera is only 1.3GB and front facing, and a few of the odd goodies some hard core techies need. No auto upgrade, NO gorilla glass. Overall, after the initial purchase, we bought: a 32Gb SD micro chip, a great carrier with storage pocket also from Big Lots for a lousy Six Dollars, and a stylus pen for Thirteen. Total investment? 130 dollars! Package complete with stylus, carrier and 32Gb extra memory! Plus, it is STURDY... I noticed that it looks like Big Lots, when they have these, sell them for Ninety Dollars. Even then, that is a heck of a bargain for a beginner tablet for a child or someone who only wants the internet and books. Just crazy. The Android shipped as 4.0, it will upgrade if you want it to, but so far, my wife says it is just fine, runs fast, no problems. The screen is a bit touchy. I would recommend a generic screen cover to slow down the stylus a little. Would I buy this again? You bet.........."

Hey, don't believe me.. Believe what other customer said..

You can read these customer reviews below that is taken from the original site.

"........This is a video demo and testing of the Archos 43 - 16 GB Internet Tablet. Overall, I am very happy with its improvements over the Archos 5 IT. I have also changed the rating to a 5 stars after updating the OS to Android 2.2 with the Adobe Flash 10 player installed. This gadget rocks ! 12/21/10 update - I have been using this gadget on a daily basis since my original post for checking emails and surfing the web for news in the morning while still lying lazy on my bed. So far so good and it has replaced my iPhone for such use as it is lighter and has a wider display for full web-site surfing. The only issue I have is the short battery life which I have to circumvent by disabling the Wifi when not in use. Overall feel and handling The unit is extremely light and fits easily in a shirt pocket. It is much more portable than the Archos 5 IT and even the i-Phone. The single-touch resistive screen works quite nice also. I also noticed that the camera has a small clear plaster cover on it which should be removed for better recording. OS and applications 12/01/10 Update - Updated OS to Android 2.2 ! This gadget is a lot more stable and works faster after the update. We would need to reinstall the latest Google Marketplace app from the Archos fans site as the previous version does not work with Android 2.2. The Adobe Flash 10 player would also needed to be installed (from the Google Market place) in order to view flash videos from the websites. Archos 5 used to have an application called Thinkfree office installed which allowed us to view PDF, excel, and word document. I am not able to find this same application on the Archos 43. However, this application and the Adobe viewer could be downloaded from the Google Markletplace. Do some research on the Archosfans website and you would be able to get the instructions on installing the Marketplace app. Video and display The display is very nice and sharp. In the demo video, I also showed a side-by-side comparison between an i-Phone and the Archos 43. The display area for the Archos 43 is 32% larger than an iPhone. Whereas the Archos 5 IT has a 65% larger display area over the iPhone with its 4.8" screen. Even though the display area is not much larger than the iPhone, the viewing experience is notably different. The video camera recording is of average quality. It does OK in well lighted area but the video is pretty grainy under poor lighting conditions. I also found some issues with the Amazon's Kindle viewer. The right side text was chopped off by the menu bar. Sound The external speaker is much better than the Archos 5 IT and produced much more sound in comparison. WiFi and internet connection There are major improvements in the Wifi connection as I experienced no trouble connecting the WiFi to my home wireless network. This was the most annoying problem I had with the Archos 5 IT. Batteries Charge time is much better than the Archos 5 IT. Took about 2-3 hours for a full charge. It lasts for about 2-3 hours of constant uses. If we leave the Wifi on, it seems to drain the battery charge rather rapidly. I did another benchmark testing by playing only video with the external speaker at 50% volume. It ran for a good 6-7 hours on a full charge. It uses a standard micro-USB cable for connection to the PC. Overall, I am quite pleased with this gadget particularly its light weight and larger screen size than my iPhone........"

Read below reviews from customer :

".......I have now used this tablet for almost 3 months. I am not a journalist or evaluator of electronic devices (borrowed for short period). I am just a normal user who uses it daily for myself. I do not own any other tablet but have a colleague who uses an iPad, with which I can compare. CONCLUSION After one month of use, I found myself loving it. After two moths, I was loving it even more. And after almost 3 months, I cannot live without. I recommend it highly to everyone. WHY NOT APPLE'S IPAD I am an Apple fan. I have been a Mac user for last 20 years. I bought at least 4 iPods in the past. And I currently use iPhone. So naturally I liked iPad when my colleague showed me one. Then why I did not buy Apple's tablet (iPad)? That's because I am an iPhone user! More and more I learned about iPad, it became clear to me that it is a "big iPhone without phone". I already have most of the features of iPad in my iPhone. In other words, If I buy an iPad, I gain little while paying twice for the same things. But If I buy an android tablet, my selection of features and apps gets doubled, as I gain an access to Android Market in addition to Apple's App store. This was one of decisive reasons why I chose Sony Tablet over Apple's iPad. HOW I USE IT I use Sony Tablet both at home and at work, daily. At work, I use it for emailing, web browsing, scheduling, and note taking. At home, in addition to what I do at work, I use it as e-reader (Kindle), video/movie watching. I use it as a universal controller for everything in living room (TV, CABLE, BD/DVD Player, AV Receiver). I also sometimes listen to music (Music Unlimited) in bed. On weekends, I take it with me when going out. I use it to take pictures and videos. I use it as e-reader (Kindle) at cafeteria while listening to music (Music Unlimited). My wife uses it to watch movies in the car when we go out for a long drive. I charge it during night and I do not carry power cable at all during a day because I have plenty of juice left at end of the day. WHAT I LIKE A. Superb Design - Beautifully curved design with a wedge shaped body is a winner. I found that its physical design is not just gorgeous but significantly useful. (1) When holding it on your hand, it feels lighter than flat type because the center of gravity is closer to your holding hand. (This is true even when holding it horizontally with both hands if you hold the upper half of the device. And it feels secure because the wedge shape on upper side works as a slip-stopper.) (2) It is much safer and easier to carry it around room to room without fear of dropping it because the wedge shaped side works as a slip-stopper between your fingers that hold it. (3) The screen is easier to view with less glare, and its virtual keyboard is easier to type when placed on the desk because the wedge gives a comfortable elevation on upper side. You do not need a special carrier case to do that like all other flat shaped tablets. (4) This is the only tablet that you can gently put on the desk and comfortably pick it up without fear of dropping it because the wedge shape with hollowed sides gives you a convenient handle to hold it securely. Sony is the first company that realized that thiner is not necessarily better. Thiner and flatter the device, the more difficult to gently put it on a hard surface of desk because your fingers are not on the sides but underneath, and you have to pull your fingers from beneath at some point. And thiner and flatter the device, the more difficult it is to pick up. (Just imagine about picking up an unbending flat thin plastic plate from a desk!) (5) It is simply gorgeous to look at both when held in hand and placed on the desktop (you don't need ugly case to elevate the upper side). B. Light Weight - Use of special plastics make this tablet light and strong. (1) This tablet is lightest among all tablets in its size-class. It is essential for mobile device to be light. Lighter the better; therefore, it is the best in its class in this regard. (2) Sony achieves this lightness by using plastics. However, not all plastics are made equal. Sony fortified its device by using very sturdy special plastics (as opposed to cheep ones used in Samsung's). In other words, it is high quality plastic that is strong, very strong. C. Large Storage Capacity (External SD card and USB drive) (1) I bought one with 32GB. I also bought a 32GB external SD card. Together, my Sony Tablet has 64GB at all times. That's plenty for many videos and movies and other data. (Compare with Kindle Fire which has only 8GB) (2) In addition, with a USB connector ($17), I can also connect to my 500GB USB pocket drive if I need it. (iPad does not have USB connector.) D. High Quality Camera and Video Recorder and Crisp Video Replay One of the things that my friends envy about my Sony Tablet is quality of pictures and videos it can record. You take video in front of them and replay immediately in beautiful resolution. And watch their reaction :). It's fun. E. Universal Media Controller I use it as universal media controller in my living room. I have now one device to control my TV,Cable, BD/DVD, and AV Receiver. F. EReader Apps I have all with Sony Tablet: Kindle app, Nook app, and Sony EReader app in this one device. I use Kindle app to read, well, Amazon books. I use Sony Reader app to read books from local libraries. G. Music Unlimited My music life has changed drastically after I became a Sony Music Unlimited subscriber. My music life was centered around Apple's iTune, in which case I was listening to same music over and over again because I had to buy every songs that I want to listen. And I can buy only so many. However, if you become a subscriber to the Music Unlimited, millions of songs become available to you. Suddenly my music world became drastically widened. I now listen to more music that I have never listened before. My favorite songs no longer become boring due to overly repeated listening. And I can listen to Music Unlimited at any place (not just Sony Tablet but any networked device such as PC, PS3, BD/DVD, etc). H. Wide Screen Unlike iPad or iPad-wannabe tablets, Sony Tablet has a wider screen. That gives Sony Tablet at least two major advantages. First, it is much more suitable as a movie viewer. If you intend to use tablet for movie viewing, this is an important consideration. Second, it gives Sony Tablet a comfortable space for a virtual keyboard that includes numeric keypad, just like a normal keyboard. I really hate iPad virtual keyboard because I have to keep switching in order to type a number. Another good thing resulted from Sony not followling Apple. RECOMENDATIONS 1. You do not need to buy a carrying case specifically made for a tablet if you already have a laptop case. I did not buy one because the wedge shaped Sony Tablet does not need one. I simply wrap my tablet with a soft cloth and put it in a case I had for my old laptop. In a cafeteria, I proudly pull out my Sony Tablet and place it naked on a table and look at a guy at next table, who is typing into his iPad submerged inside an ugly case that he has to use in order to give it an angle. 2. You need some kind of screen wiper. I bought "Monitor Wipes" from Staples. I carry several wet sheets in a small plastic bag, which I refill once a week. 3. You do not need to worry about power plug that some evaluators seem to complain. It works just fine. 4. You do not have to buy Kindle or Nook devices to enjoy Amazon or B&N e-books. You can get a free Kindle app or Nook app as well as Sony EReader for Sony Tablet. 5. You need headphones if you intend to use it for music or movies in public (such as cafeteria). I bought Sony Ultra Lightweight MDR-W08L ($7) from Amazon. It's very light and easy on your ears. 6. Configure system so that you can have your virtual keyboard with numeric key pad. It is so much easy to type things if number keys are available without switching keyboard........"

What other customer said about this Tivax MiTraveler7D-4A 7 Inch PC Google Android 4.0 Tablet??

Read the review below :

"........We bought this tablet for our daughter to use on road trips to keep her occupied. I must admit that we weren't expecting a whole lot for it's price, but we are very happy with it and so is our daughter. The screen is bright with a very clear picture and works the same as most touch screens with the two finger zoom. Another reviewer mentioned that they had a hard time finding a car charger, hint: simply use a micro USB to USB cable and plug it into a USB car charger. In order to download movies to this tablet, you must convert the video to an MP4 file (this is true of most tablets). There are tons of free software downloads out there to choose from that will allow you to convert videos. The battery and/or playback time is quite good, although we found the speaker to be a little low,a set of headphones will come in handy! There are a lot of free apps from the Google Play store such as games and such and if you download a lot of apps and videos,I highly recommend buying a micro sd card of at least 8GB to supplement the tablet's 4GB of internal memory. Skype is pre-loaded on this tablet and we have used it often, sound and video quality is acceptable for a tablet. We have found many accessories for this tablet that will work well such as screen protectors, cases, etc. Almost any accessory labeled "for 7 inch tablets" should work. My only complaint with this product is the manual(it is of little use due to lack of information),but if you just spend a little time using it, you'll figure it out quickly........"

Hey, don't trust me.. Trust what other customer said..

See the customer reviews below:

"........UPDATE 26 NOV 2012: Please note that the following review was for the Le Pan I and NOT the Le Pan II. Due to circumstances not under my control this review may actually appear under the latest Le Pan II which appears to be a good upgrade but I've never used it - I am still happily using the first version tablet (Le Pan I) acquired in June, 2011 (so durability is good). IMPORTANT UPDATE 11/30/2011: Please read B. Brinton's Amazon review (can't give the URL but it's one of the two star reviews here) regarding inability to update to new operating system. I stand by my original review as to the quality of the tablet, but recommend that you check out Brinton's review before actually buying. Before I even start, I absolutely LOVE my Le Pan tablet. It's a blast to use, has a lot of upside for the things I want to do with it, and has a definite "wow" factor with bystanders. Typical quotes are, "wow," and "I want one" and "that is so cool!" This could be said about a lot of the better tablets (e.g., iPad) that have nice, high def, shiny screens showing video, but I appreciated the coveting looks (and I let people play with it extensively and had trouble getting it back a couple times). I have never used a tablet (well, 10 minutes goofing with an iPad in the Apple Store a year ago) and have never used anything with the Android operating system. A lot of my "cons" are probably pertinent to a lot of similar pieces of hardware, as well as shortcomings of the Android OS as it is currently implemented, rather than unique to the Le Pan. I would NOT recommend this for someone looking for a turnkey, works perfectly out of the box solution. You will need either some experience, or a strong nerd compulsion (or a little of both). You'll have to overcome quirks of the hardware and software. First, the "bad." The power button sucks. After four days I STILL fumble with that sucker. The fingerprints on the screen drive me nuts. I think it's worse in a tablet with a large screen than on an Android or Iphone with smaller screens. I'm already carrying around a microfiber cleaning cloth. A definite hazard of this entire class of machine. You might want to invest in some wet-dry LCD screen wipes for when you want to get it in pristine condition before you show off in front of the boss (e.g., Audiovox Surface SURF402 Wet/Dry Screen Wipes). Think of it as detailing your tablet. Saying the speakers are "tinny" might be generous and there is absolutely no recognizable bass component. I'm ready to get a bluetooth headphone for this immediately. Can't run Hulu to watch TV (yet) - the hardware is probably perfectly capable, but Hulu sees "Android mobile device" and just serves up an annoying message. However YouTube (included app) looks and works better than I have ever seen it. It's heavier than I thought, but not that bad. It's about the same weight as an iPad. I found that holding it in one hand I would cramp up after a couple of minutes. It is light enough to cradle, and propping it up on an ample paunch while in bed was ok. Sitting down with tablet on lap, no problem. Next, the "weird." The onboard camera only shoots pictures in a mirror mode (i.e., titles of books are reversed like in a mirror). In using Skype I found that for this version of Android, video calling is not supported. Otherwise, Skype works quite nicely on this platform. In certain network environments (I'm on a University network half the time) you can easily purchase apps via the included Android Market, but downloading wouldn't commence - probably some security feature of our network. Using my home wifi connection (DSL via AT&T) I had no problems downloading and installing Skype and some other navigation based stuff. The included browser can't handle Ebsco databases (if that means anything to you). The browser handles most websites well, and the large screen means you don't need to access the specially configured mobile sites, which are still a lot cleaner. I ran this on our library catalog and most of our databases with no problem, but the Ebsco ones didn't allow any search entry. Weird. (NOTE ADDED June 2, 2011: Just installed the Opera Mobile Web Browser ver. 11 from the Apps for Android store on Amazon and the Ebsco databases work just fine). Finally, the "good." The screen is awesome (except in daylight where it is useless). Use this indoors, not at the beach. The response time is lightning fast. Apps come up fast and operate fast. Scrolling, screen switching, etc. is ultra-smooth. In the right network environment, getting, installing, and using apps is trivial. The integration with web based Google apps is seamless. I didn't even notice my calendar and contacts were downloaded and synchronized (and continue to be synchronized). A very cool thing I discovered this morning was that when I was out of wifi range (on my bus and train commute) I could still do my Gmail offline. The Gmail app downloads and caches your email so you can use it offline, including replying to messages. The next time you get a wifi connection, synchronization will send all pending messages, and download new ones - this was all done while sitting in my backback. The GPS is useful, but not yet a substitute for a good stand-alone unit (I'm a TomTom user). But the connection to Google Maps is very cool. You have to wrestle to find it, but once you get into street view, it's obvious that high def simulated 3d is designed for tablets with big shiny screens. I'm still struggling with the interface (I think the GPS keeps wanting to tether me to Missouri), but I've taken friends to Florence and Rome on this tablet, and the fast and seamless "look around" on a tablet is very, very, nice. Photos and video on this screen are gorgeous, without question. I haven't read anything yet that contests that - I vouch for the visual impressiveness as well. Again, the screen WILL get covered in finger smudges, and if you're in any kind of daylight you're out of luck seeing anything. So, take this review in stride. Think of my comments as caveats and warnings, and whether or not they're deal breakers is up to you and what you need. I'm not sure there is any tablet that can satisfy all the myriad details wanted by end users. I give this four stars for being an impressive work with some upside potential with upgrades (video calling with Skype, Hulu compatibility). Read the specs and decide if things like not having video output is important, or not. ADDED June 2, 2011: To watch movies you might have to convert them to an appropriate format (and/or download some other video software). I've been able to take video and using VLC (free and available on PCs and Macs) and convert to MP4 format then view with no problem. Also, because of movie sizes, you're likely going to need to buy a bigger micro SD chip (or two). I have some DVDs from Orlando (wife and kids swimming with the dolphins) and was able to extract the unprotected "VOB" files. I converted to a couple of formats but the MP4 format seemed to universally work. Again, this is one of those areas you need a bit of a nerd compulsion to work out. Regarding using wet/dry pads to clean the screen. Almost all of the standard pads should work fine, but in most cases you're going to waste a lot of pad. I've taken to opening the pouches and cutting the wet AND dry pads in half. Then I stuff them back in the pouches and fold it over to preserve the dampness. You can probably clean the screen 3 to 4 times with one set of pads (experiment on your own). UPDATE AFTER SIX WEEKS (added July 15, 2011): I'm hooked. Durable, dependable, and now I've modded it with all sorts of useful and fun apps (hint: Amazon apps store gives a free app a day SUCH A DEAL!!!). I've been using for six weeks without a hitch and this has become my "go to" device for browsing the net and wasting time (playing games). Power button still sucks, but I've gotten used to the fingerprints. UPDATE AFTER SEVEN MONTHS (added January 11, 2012): Le Pan has now come out with a successor, the Le Pan II, so this will be my final update. I received my Le Pan in early June, 2011. As of this date my TC970 is still running strong with no quirks or hardware faults whatsoever. Anecdote is not evidence, but my personal experience continues to be positive with this tablet. I even loaned it to my son for a couple of weeks as he took it to Budapest, Prague, and Vienna. Toting it around Europe in a backpack for two weeks, and it's back home, still humming along perfectly. This is still one fine machine........"

Read the customer reviews below that is taken from the original online store:

".......I got this as a gift from a friend, as I was looking for something that wasn't super spiffy but decent enough to suit my needs. Something affordable but still able to do what most of the big boys can do. For a sub $200 Android tablet, this thing is exactly that. PROS: - Very nice touch screen - HDMI Out - 8GB storage - Decent battery life CONS: - Not the prettiest looking thing - Fingerprints get all over :( - Speaker in the back Typically I bring my laptop wherever I go, but sometimes I just don't want the hassle of carrying that thing around and just need something small to access the internet, watch videos or the like. My phone can do all that but the small screen makes checking full websites a pain and being online or watching movies always kills my battery. So a tablet was definitely the solution. I played with a few of the name brand ones, and as nice as they are, I didn't want to spend $500. I was actually surprised that this tablet worked as well as those others. I mean, it's no iPad, but if I wanted an iPad, I'd drop the cash for one. One of the few things I don't like about this tablet is the housing. It's not the prettiest looking device there is, but at least it feels sturdy and doesn't feel like it'll shatter if I accidentally drop it. The buttons are kinda awkward looking but useful for those apps that hide the status bar. And I like that it has physical volume buttons, especially since I use it to watch movies a lot. Another thing that I don't care for is the slick finish which ends up leaving fingerprints all over. I'd rather have something that looks rough but you don't have to clean every time you pick it up. There's no Bluetooth but there is an HDMI out port. And IMO, that's preferred. The USB port works for connecting to the computer, plugging in a flash drive or connecting a mouse or keyboard which is convenient. It's nice they included the adapter as well, as some companies will make you buy that seperately. There's a front facing camera which is actually pretty decent for video calls on Skype. Unfortunately the speaker is on the back of the tablet, but it's a minor issue (well kinda an annoyance when watching movies, especially if I have the tablet laying down). And the mic is pretty clear and picks up sound well. This thing also has a MicroSD card slot which I popped in a 32GB card loaded up with some movies. The battery lasted through just under 2 1/2 hours of video (but that was with the brightness at its highest and volume almost at max). I haven't really measured the battery for other uses, but the other day I was on and off surfing the internet for close to 5 hours and there was still about 25% left on the indicator (not sure how charged it was when I started). So not bad at all. This tablet has Android 2.3 on it and these guys at least put some effort into customizing it with their own startup screen and launcher. Most of the time, lesser known companies just go with the stock set up, so it was refreshing to see something a little different. Again, it's no Motorola or HTC, but the idea of the different categories for each screen was a nice touch. They have the GetJar market installed which personally I don't care for but as I'm familiar enough with Android, I just installed Amazon's appstore as well as 1Mobile's. They also set the page for installing Amazon's appstore as the default browser homepage, which is convenient. Games run great on this, even the more graphicly intensive ones. And they look great too. Some of the racing games as well actually work better than on my phone...of course it helps that the "steering wheel" is bigger. And the great thing about this tablet too is the 8GB of internal memory. I've heard my friends complain about having to always delete apps or things to free up some space, as typically most tablets have only 2 or 4GB...so it's nice to have a lot of storage to play with. The touch screen is great too. Responds very well to a light tough without being to sensitive. Actually the physical buttons on the side need more babying than the touch screen. Which is why I'm glad they put those functions in the status bar as well. So far the tablet's been mostly used for movies and Ebooks. I've got several movies ripped at HD quality on my SD card that play perfectly. The video player they have pre-installed is a decent player and I haven't had to look for a different one since it does the job. Apparently it also supports 3D movies but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I have Amazon Kindle installed as well and since this tablet is very close to the actual Kindle's size, it works great for reading as well. The way it fits in your hand is perfect. As I mentioned earlier, it's also great for Skype...I also like this better than my laptop as I can actually walk around while talking to someone. And of course the usual apps (Mail, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) all work fine. Netflix had a few problems...the videos I tried had the video and audio out of sync. But from other people's feedback, it could be the app and not the tablet in this case. And for those who are a little more savvy, this thing's rooted already. I'm not super knowledgable about this stuff but I know enough that this is useful to me for squeezing out more battery life by turning some of the more useless stuff off (this tablet supports a 3G dongle but I'm never going to use one so I went in and turned off the phone support features which helped with my battery life). I've been told this unit can be upgraded to ICS soon, so that'll be cool. Overall it's a nice little gadget that does what it's meant for...keeping me entertained when I'm out and about or too lazy to sit at my desk with a real computer........"

Reviews from customer :

".......For the price, this is a great tablet. Beautiful screen and fast internetting. Only problems are a skimpy manual and no memory slots. On the other hand, it does have a (micro) HDMI connection which most tablets do not have. Highly recommended. The manual is mostly needed to get The manual is needed to get the most out of the included software, and to navigate Android's sometimes chaotic waters. App killer/manager is needed........"
