VMware may buy its parent company Dell

Dell is considering selling itself to one of its subsidiary companies, VMware, because of financial problems and difficulties in paying its $ 50 billion debt.

According to CNBC, Dell does not want to put its shares on the stock market, which is why it may turn to sell itself to VMware, which has listed itself in the stock market previously. In this way, Dell's owners get shares in VMware, and they will be able to sell those shares and obtain material liquidity later on.

Dell acquired VMware in 2015 for $ 67 billion, and acquired 80% of its shares at the time. However, continued financial problems prompted the company to seriously consider selling itself.

Other options are available to Dell, such as selling VMware entirely to a third-party company for physical receivables. But experts have stressed the difficulty of doing so by the Dell board, which will meet within weeks to make the final decision.
