Oppo recently pushed the Android 4.4 KitKat based Color OS 2.0.5i beta for the Find 7 and Find 7a smartphones. Following that, the Oppo development team worked quickly to share a sneak peek on what’s in store with the next major ColorOS update.

Oppo has released a video showing the Lollipop based ColorOS 2.1.0i for the Find 7/7a to show the upcoming features and changes.

Noteworthy changes expected with the new ColorOS 2.1 include a new flatter design and responsive user interface compared to previous builds. Besides that, Oppo will also remove handful of features in order to optimize the RAM and discard the resource hungry functions.

Among the features that are set to be removed include a bunch of icons and widgets on the lockscreen, weather function in the launcher, dialpad tones, and others. By removing them, Oppo aims to deliver a light, fast, stable, and power conserving ColorOS 2.1 update.
