Samsung starts rolling out Android 4.4 update for Galaxy S4 - AndroidOS.in




Samsung Galaxy S4 KitKat update After Galaxy Note III, Samsung has now started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for Galaxy S4. The update is currently live in Russia for the Exynos version and is expected to reach other markets in the coming weeks. Given past record, we expect the Indian version to get the update within a matter of days.


There is no word for the Snapdragon version update but it should be arriving in the next few days.


Coming to the update, it brings minor user-interface tweaks like white status bar icons, camera icon on lock-screen and album art on lock-screen as well as better keyboard layout. In addition the KitKat specific goodies – cloud-print support, immersive mode, new emojis support, ability to choose between messaging app and Hangouts for SMS/ MMS and more.


The update is available both over-the-air (OTA) and via Kies application. Your phone will notify you once the update is available or you can check it manually in Kies or by going to Settings > More > About Device > Software update > Update on your Galaxy S4.
