Nikon DF: New Camera from Nikon- Reported by Reviewsitnow.com - DigitalJournal.com

(PRWEB) November 12, 2013

Both amateur photographers and professionals wait for the shopping seasons and the annual sales events like Black Fridays and Cyber Mondays to grab photography equipment of their choice like cameras. The makers of such equipment like Nikon also try to cash in on this frenzy by introducing newer models of cameras at this time. Nikon DF DSLR, a full frame model, is the newest model to be released by Nikon. Exciting deals and great offers for this new camera model are available online.

A Digital camera fan is quite upbeat with the Nikon Df and says "The design of this camera is tasteful. It has solid dials made of metal that are knurled and engraved. To remind the user that it is indeed a DSLR, there are two command dials that are electronic. The design is highly retro."

The camera has been named as DF for a reason. D stands for Digital and F stands for Fusion. The retro design combined with the latest features emphasizes the fusion part of the name. It has a 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and is energized by the new Expeed 3 processor. It is capable of very good action photography because of the highly capable burst mode with up to 5.5 FPS. A continuous shooting rate of up to 100 images is possible with this setting. It has 39 AF points which work well with lenses as low as f/5.6. There are 9 points that are cross type, which work with combinations of teleconverter as slow as f/7.1. There is a lever that helps making non-AI Nikkor lenses compatible with this camera. This feature adds to the retro feel of the camera nicely. The Expeed processor enables a wide native range of ISO sensitivity from ISO100 till ISO12800. Beyond this an ISO setting of 204800 can be achieved by invoking the L- and H+ settings.

Although there is no built-in Wi-Fi, the camera is compatible with WU-1a Wireless Mobile adaptor from Nikon which can be used to transfer all images out from the camera. The camera can also be remotely controlled by using the WR-R10 wireless transceiver and WR-T10 wireless transmitter both from Nikon. It is also weatherproof like D800.

An amateur photographer who likes both the looks and features of Nikon DF says "This camera has a link to the SLRs of the past and it displays that link through its design. Feature wise, it is amply supported by the powerful battery which can last for 1400 shots. It also uses modern materials to augment its purpose as a true DSLR."
