As all we expected, through its new Moto G, Motorola has brought Moto X user experience down to a low-price point. In a special media event on Wednesday (Nov. 13), the Google-owned mobile maker has officially surfaced Moto G that is going to be a superb midrange phone in a variety of colors as well as decent and quality specs under the hood.

It is a 4.5-inch handset with a 720p edge-to-edge display that can resist scratches and mild falls thanks to Corning's new Gorilla Glass 3 support. The device is also wrapped in a water-resistant nano-coating so that you can even carry it to the pool to make calls and surf web. Other specs and key features of the much-hyped Moto G are mentioned below.

Under the hood, the new Motorola handset is built around a Snapdragon 400 chip-based 1.2GHz quad core Cortex-A7 processor, 1GB RAM and an Adreno 305 graphics card. Unfortunately, the handset misses out the new Android 4.4 KitKat; instead it has arrived with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Motorola has offered to update Moto G with KitKat in two months.

The rest of the specs of Moto G include a nice 5MP rear shooter that can record video at only 720p. Near to the camera situates an LED flash and it is featuring a lot of other interesting things.

In case of front camera, we have a nice 1.3MP unit that is enough for video chatting. Under the back over, you have a 1,950mAh Li-Ion battery. It will arrive in 8GB and 16GB flavors, and no memory expansion option is available.

Motorola promises a range of differently colored back covers for Moto G. The options include white, black, dark, pink, yellow, light blue and red. It is set for release for a price starting at $179. Motorola has launched Moto G in Brazil and some parts of Europe on its release day itself.
