SummaryPortable accessories that add value to your smartphones.

To make the most of smartphones, there are a wide range of accessories available in the market. Here are two new ones LG Pocket Photo and Lava W200 to help you print your memories or stay connected via WiFi.

LG Pocket Photo printer is a great choice for those who want to print photos instantly. It works like a Polaroid camera, printing photos as soon as they are clicked.

The dimensions of this printer are 12 cm (l) x 7cm (b) x 2cm (h) and it weighs around 200g. This means that the gadget is portable, though its not pocket-sized as its name suggests. It is easy to carry it around in backpacks or handbags.

LG Pocket Photo printer uses two modes of wireless connections Bluetooth and Near Field Communication (NFC). Printing photos with this device is easy. All you need is a device that runs Android or iOS and the LG Pocket Photo app, which is available on Apples App Store and Google Play. The app has a few preset effects to add zing to printouts. It lets you edit images you can add a frame to pictures and type a caption or message on it. Once you edit the picture and hit the print button, you get a 2x3 inch photograph. LG Pocket Photo uses ZINK or zero ink technology. Users get colourful ZINK sheets (2x3 inch) with the device. The reason it needs no ink is that the ZINK sheets themselves carry the colours. The printer simply heats the dye in the sheets to reproduce colours and deliver prints. These sheets can be easily loaded by opening the devices back flap.

An additional pack of 30 ZINK sheets costs Rs 1,099, so the cost per print is about

Rs 37. The printing cost is high, but there arent many portable wireless printers in the market. The quality of prints is good, but not great. Depending on the colours in the image, prints take up to 40-50 seconds.

At Rs 14,990, it is a good buy because of its ease-of-use and instant photo-sharing features.
