HTC announced its annual report on fourth-quarter earnings each year, revealing a heavy loss report for the company in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The company's profit margin fell by 30.8% after achieving revenues of about $ 540 million. But this quarter saw an operating loss of $ 330 million, and operating margin fell to 60.8%. This quarter also saw a net loss of $ 337 million, equivalent to a 0.41% loss per market share.

HTC said the company's losses came from fierce competition with other companies, as well as multiple product launches.

The Taiwanese company is characterized by its phones and the manufacture of virtual reality glasses, but it has seen a decline in the past years, especially in the smartphone market.

Google has acquired the company's smartphone division, so Google's pixel phones are manufactured. Which HTC is trying to exploit to invest in other areas to raise the level of competition in the market, according to company officials.
