Twitter announces that 1.4 million accounts interact with Tweets from malicious Russian accounts

According to Twitter, 1.4 million accounts interacted with Tweets posts published by malicious Russian accounts during the US election period, after having previously announced only 677,000 accounts.

The figures include accounts that have impressed, responded, or re-activated, or interacted with the Russian spy accounts of the Russian intelligence agency, totaling only 3,814, according to Twitter.

The previous figures do not include users who saw the tweet without interacting with it, meaning that the final number will increase over time and will not stop at the 1.4 million user limit, while the total number of users is approximately 319 million.
