Police in China have begun to use smart glasses with a camera and facial recognition technology to identify passengers at train stations and airports to make sure there are no stop orders.

People's Daily reported that police have so far arrested seven people accused of major crimes, as well as 26 people using false identities.

According to WSJ, the manufacturer of glasses is LLVision of China, which was selling them to the public without restrictions, but it began to choose the parties carefully and accurately at the moment. According to the company's chief executive, the glasses were able to identify users during tests on a database of 10,000 people in less than 100 milliseconds. Adding that this accuracy may vary in working life due to congestion and the presence of many faces.

The glasses rely on a smart device carried by a police officer that contains a database of citizens and people to get to know them more quickly.
