Apple is working on a huge update to the iBooks application

Apple wants to make a radical change to the application of the famous books iBooks, which was first launched in 2010 for iPhone and iPad, and now after 8 years the application will get a major update.

The first step to change was with the beta version of iOS 11.3, which was released yesterday to developers, where the name of the application was changed from iBooks to Books.

The other steps are to completely change the interface to become easier and simpler for the average user with a highlight of books that are now read in addition to the books available for reading.

Apple also plans to add a new tab for audio books as well as a bookstore that will be similar to Apple Store in terms of design with multiple sections of books according to topics.

This update will be the largest in the history of application to renew competition in the electronic book market controlled by Amazon by more than 83%.
