ZTE Nubia Z9 will officially arrive in the United States in Q3

Tags: ZTE, Android

ZTE announced pricing and availability of the recently announced Nubia Z9 flagship smartphone in the United States. The high-end device in hit the shelves in three different variants in Q3.

Pricing of the Nubia Z9 is ambitious considering the relative lack of awareness for the brand in the United States. It will kick off at $564 for a Classic version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard memory and $645 for an Elite model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory. A top of the line Exclusive model for $725 will also add a fingerprint sensor to the mix.

Specs-wise, the Nubia Z9 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, 5.2” 1080p display, 16MP camera with Sony-made sensor, and 2,900mAh battery. The device boots customized Android Lollipop.

Curiously, it appears Nubia will enter the United States as a standalone brand. There is no mention of ZTE in the press release for the US launch of the Z9.
