The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL will land on AT&T on June 26. The 5.7" phablet will cost nothing upfront with a Next 24, 18 or 12 plan. Whichever plan you choose you end up paying a total of $250, except you might swap the phone for a new one sooner.
The Lumia 640 XL has a 5.7" IPS screen with 720p resolution (259ppi). That's not flagship level, but you get Gorilla Glass 3 and ClearBlack (which improves sunlight legibility). The camera boasts ZEISS optics, it snaps 13MP photos and records 1080p videos. The selfie camera is a 5MP/1080p shooter.
The one area where the 640 XL doesnt excite is the 1GHz quad-core processor inside the Snapdragon 400 chipset. The 3,000mAh battery and card slot that supports up to 128GB microSDs sound pretty good though.
For more details you can read our review. Keep in mind that this is the LTE model, it doesnt look like AT&T will be offering the dual-SIM variation.
