Vivo X5Pro will be officially announced on May 13

Tags: Vivo, Android

As we told you a few hours ago, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo had something to announce today. Unfortunately though, it turns out all of that was just about a date - May 13, actually.

That's when the oft-leaked and much-teased Vivo X5Pro is finally going to become official. The company has scheduled a special event on that day at 8 PM Beijing time.

During that, we should find out all there is to know about the X5Pro - or rather the things that haven't been leaked or teased already.

The X5Pro has so far been revealed to come with eye recognition technology for easy and secure unlocking and app locking, 2.5D glass on top of its screen, and maybe even a huge 4,150 mAh battery.

Spec-wise, rumors had it coming with a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie shooter, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, and a 64-bit chipset with 1.7 GHz octa-core CPU (which is probably going to be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615).

The Vivo X5Pro is reportedly going to run Android 5.0 Lollipop from day one.
