The LG G4c is the compact lower-specced little brother to the company's latest G4 flagship, borrowing its curved design and overall looks. The more affordable 5-inch handset is now available for pre-order in the UK with monthly installments starting at £15.50 on contract.
Major online retailer Carphone Warehouse has listed the device with an expected delivery date of June 8. All three color options, Metallic Gray, Ceramic White and Shiny Gold, can be purchased online, while only the gray will be available in stores.
The LG G4c comes with a midrange specsheet, which lists a 5-inch 720p IPS display, quad-core 1.2GHz processor (presumably within a Snapdragon 410 chipset) and a single gig of RAM. The modest 8GB of internal storage is expandable via microSD and an 8MP/5MP camera combo is on board. The LTE-capable smartphone is powered by a removable 2,540mAh battery and boots Lollipop out of the box.
The lowest monthly cost of the handset comes on the retailer's own iD virtual operator, which uses Three's network. The £15.50 tariff on a two-year contract with no upfront payment gives you 500MB of 4G data, 300 nationwide minutes and 5000 texts. On the other end of the spectrum is Vodafone's 10GB data plan that will set you £36 a month for the same 24 months.
Thanks for the tip, Matthew Mulcahy!
