Oppo is running its upcoming U3 smartphone under benchmark testing and thanks to the GFXBench website we can get a glimpse of the phone's specifications.

The Oppo U3 is the company's first to utilize a 64-bit CPU. More specifically, the U3 is featuring a MediaTek MT6752 chipset with an octa-core 1.7GHz 64-bit CPU and 2GB of RAM. The GPU is an ARM Mali-T760.

At the back, the Oppo U3 features a 12MP camera capapble of shooting 4K video. Selfies are done with a 4.7MP camera with 1080p video recording. The tester sports just 1.1GB of internal storage, but we suspect when it comes out, Oppo will give it at least 16GB. There's no sign if the phone will have expandable storage.

With the Oppo U3 undergoing testing, we could see it launch in coming month or two. The company very recently unveiled the Oppo N3 cameraphone and Oppo R5 with just 4.85mm waistline. We're eager to see what the U3 will look like and so far it looks promising.
