The Sony Xperia C3 Dual has today passed through China's equivalent of the FCC, the TENAA certification authority, with model number S55t. The presence of global LTE band support indicates that the device will likely be seeing a widespread release.
The Sony Xperia C3 is targeted a decidedly midrange crowd, with its 5.5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon S400 chipset with quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, and Adreno 305 graphics. It's got a 8MP/5MP rear/front camera combo capable of HDR video recording at 1080p (720p for the front-facer), and is set to come with 8GB of internal storage and a 2,500 mAh battery.
Besides support for two SIM cards, there are some neat connectivity extras like NFC and FM Radio as well, and the Android version will be 4.4.2 KitKat.
The Xperia C3 Dual is set to go on sale for China Mobile for CNY 1,999, or $322. Hopefully, other markets will get the device soon as well.
Thanks, Anurag, for the tip!
