Samsung is expected to announce a new lineup of tablets on June 12 in New York. The purported slates should come in two flavors - 8.4" and 10.5" - both with AMOLED screens of 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution.
We've already seen the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 leak in official renders and specs. Now it's time we get a glimpse of its 8.4" sibling.
The official-looking renders are courtesy of @evleaks and reveal a familiar faux-leather back and design.
Meanwhile the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 SM-T705 has also passed through the Chinese certification authority TENAA. There we can find some live pictures and specs of the slate.
Just as expected, the 8.4" tablet comes with an 8.4" QHD AMOLED display, Exynos 5 Octa chipset, 3GB of RAM and Android KitKat. Thanks to the AMOLED display Samsung was able to reach an impressively small and slim body - standing at 212.8 x 126.6 x 6.5 mm.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 over TENAA
It looks we know most of the Galaxy Tab S lineup details ahead of the official announcement. Still we hope Samsung managed to keep something under wraps and surprise us on June 12.
