Samsung has quietly announced the new Galaxy Ace Style that appears to be a budget smartphone aimed at young users. The device will be available globally in cream white and dark grey options, starting this month. However, there is no word on region-wise pricing and availability details.
The new Galaxy Ace Style features a 4-inch WVGA TFT LCD display. It runs on the latest Android flavor – 4.4 KitKat. It also gets Samsung's intuitive touch-user interface dubbed TouchWiz Essence.
Under the hood, the Ace Style comes powered with a 1.2GHz dual core processor, coupled with mediocre 512MB RAM. The chipset isn't specified yet. On the storage front, one can expect 4GB internal memory and expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
The Galaxy Ace comes equipped with a 5-megapixel rear snapper and a VGA front-facing camera. It also gets the One Camera Preview feature that allows both video recording and picture taking in full HD. Needless to say, you will also find Samsung's popular messaging app – ChatOn.
India is a very important market for Samsung, and we can expect the device to launch here anytime soon. The Ace Style will be competing in the fierce Android-dominated budget segment that has players like Micromax, Xolo, Nokia and others. The Ace Style should most likely be priced under Rs 10,000.
