Microsoft: Windows Phone 8.1 update will arrive in spring

Microsoft has announced that the much anticipated Windows Phone 8.1 update will arrive this spring. Joe Belfiore, the vice president and manager for Windows Phone Program Management, took to the stage at MWC to reveal that the update will support all existing Windows Phone 8 devices.

With Windows Phone 8.1, the Redmond giant will add on-screen buttons along with hardware support for Snapdragon 200, 400 and LTE chipsets.
