Washington: Social networking website Facebook's is reportedly planning to axe Windows support for Facebook Messenger without even giving an explanation for the services shut down.
The company is notifying its users by saying that the service would stop working on March 3, 2014.
Although, the social networking giant has announced the burial of its Messenger for Windows, the company has maintained that it would continue to work on the App for the Windows Phone.
Recently, Facebook bid adieu to its @facebook.com e-mail service citing the reason that it is not used much by users.
Last week Facebook had acquired the messaging service WhatsApp for $16 billion.
