With the new launch, the company has entered the scooter segment and it plans to have its presence in all price segments offering products across portfolios.
The company has not announced the prices of Let's and Gixxer.
"Suzuki wishes to offer the Indian rider a product at every price point and in every segment. The Inazuma is a practical 250 cc bike that expands Suzuki's motorcycle portfolio into the premium segment, which is showing growth potential. We believe that the Inazuma will be attractive for the youth, college students and motorcycle enthusiasts in metros," Atul Gupta, executive vice-president, SMIL, said at a press conference here.
The company also entered the scooter segment with the launch of 110cc scooter segment with Let's and launched the 155 cc Gixxer.
"The new products will give a refreshing experience and will simultaneously be evocative of the Suzuki legacy of Value Packed Products. We expect both the Gixxer and Let's to create a strong foothold for themselves in the market," said Gupta.
The price for the Let's will be announced at the Auto Expo 2014 in Delhi and it will go on sale next month. The Gixxer, the prices for which will be announced in May, is expected to go on sale in July.
Gupta however said that the two-wheeler industry in the current fiscal will witness a flat growth and the entry of new players is intensifying competition.
Analysts too feel that entering the scooter segment is the right step for the company while the bike segment will witness subdued growth.
Mitul Shah, an analyst at Karvy Stockbroking, said, "The entry into the scooter segment will help the company perform well as in two-wheelers, only the scooter segment is growing at 20 per cent."
Shah however said that for bikes the sales are expected to remain subdued.
