Google Nexus 5 unofficially up for pre-order in India - Gigjets




At a recent event, Google had unveiled its new Android flagship smartphone which is the Google Nexus 5. Along with the smartphone the company also unveiled a new update for its mobile operating system which it calls Android 4.4 Kit Kat.


Now, the Google Nexus 5 is available for pre-order in the Indian market via online retailer Snapdeal. Google had earlier mentioned that one can soon expect this device in the market and seems like it might soon arrive in stores.


The Nexus 5 is a LG manufactured smartphone designed by Google and it runs Android 4.4 Kit Kat without any kind of customizations. The device has also been listed on the Indian Play Store where the 16GB variant is priced at 28,999 while the 32GB variant is priced at Rs. 32,999. Both the white and the black colored devices will be available in India.


In terms of the specifications, the Nexus 5 smartphone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is clocked at 2.3GHz and sports a 4.95-inch full HD display. It includes 2GB of RAM, has an 8 megapixel camera with OIS and includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity options.


Snapdeal is further offering the smartphone with an easy EMI option varying from three to twelve months of period depending on the choice of the buyer.
