Samsung Galaxy S4 has again hit the headlines, this time for all the wrong reasons. The Korean company has some serious issue at hand, and that is to tackle at least 30% of 'once' proud owners of Samsung Galaxy S4 who have returned their devices to carriers complaining of battery drainage, overheating and swelling of the battery.

The device which has been a game-changer for Samsung is reportedly facing battery problems. The battery in the Samsung flagship is a 2,600mAh Lithium-Ion. The swelling and degradation of battery is not new for high-end mobile users but the way the battery of the Samsung Galaxy S4 depletes is very shocking and surprising for its users.

The Samsung flagship was out just six months ago and the issue of faulty batteries in the Samsung Galaxy S4 was reported first in Germany. In lieu of the inconvenience faced by the customers, the company has offered to replace batteries free of cost.

Since there have been no isolated incidents and carriers have reported the return of Samsung Galaxy S4 by many of the users, there is not a single reason to not believe this. It is worthy to note that this problem is evident with European batches of the flagship. No complaints have been received from other regions.

Samsung has issued a statement citing its commitment to provide best user experience. The company is offering replacement batteries to the customers who have been victim of this issue. The statement has requested the customers to go to the nearest Samsung Electronics Service Centre for the battery change in of their Galaxy S4.

Regardless of the free battery replacement, this faulty battery issue with the Samsung Galaxy S4 comes as blow to the reputation of the company. The issues are rising and so does the concern of users. If a user does not mind paying a premium price for a high-end phone, this is the least a company can ensure from its end.
