Google Nexus 5 might not have a 3000mAh battery says latest report - Online Gadget Store

We have an interesting update for consumers who have been following the Google Nexus 5 smartphone. New information about the internal storage options and battery capacity of the Nexus 5 has surfaced on the Internet.

We know that you are all excited about the new Android flagship device from Google – the Google Nexus 5. This new smartphone is also expected to be the first ever device to sport the company's latest version of Android operating system – Android 4.4 KitKat. But there are things you should know about, if you have been relying on previous rumors.

If you remember, the Google Nexus 5 was expected to come in two variants based on internal storage capacity. The first was the 16GB version whereas the second one was the 32GB version. But there was one thing that we did not really understand about these two devices. It was being said that the 16GB version of Nexus 5 will have a 2300mAh battery whereas the larger version will have a 3000mah battery.

But it so happens that the rumor about the larger 3000mAh battery does not hold! Of course, it is almost certain that there will be no 8GB version of the Google Nexus 5, 8GB has become too less of storage. And adding the fact that the Nexus 5 will not have a microSD card support, it is very important for the OEM to provide better storage right from the beginning.

So if this new information is to be believed, both the Nexus 5 variants will have a standard 2300mah battery, 100mAh more than the battery that was present on the Nexus 4. But let us not forget that the display on the Nexus 5 will be upgraded from 720p (compare to the Nexus 4) to 1080p. In addition to this, the screen size has been increased from 4.7-inches to 5-inches. Finally, let us not forget the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that will be powering the device.

With the above mentioned points lined up, we are not sure how well the Google Nexus 5 will be able to perform if it actually has a 2300mAh battery. High-end smartphones with a 5-inch display generally have a 2600mAh battery; some of them even have battery capacities as high as 3000mAh. We know that the Nexus 5 will be highly optimized in terms of software and hardware. On top of that, it will run on pure Android, so there will be no cosmetic load on the device.

The Google Nexus 5 is expected to be released by the end of this month, 28th October to be specific. So interested consumers should check back after a week or so for the latest news and information about the Google Nexus 5. For now, take a look at the key specifications of the upcoming flagship device.
