GoPro Surges on Report That Xiaomi Has Considered an Offer

Reports revealed that the Chinese technology company Xiaomi is working on the acquisition of GoPro, known for the production of sports cameras and aircraft for photography, in addition to editing programs.

GoPro had announced in January that it had withdrawn from the manufacture of reconnaissance planes because of the financial problems facing the company. The company's chief executive, Nick Woodman, then announced his company's openness to listen to offers offered for sale or to join a larger company.

It seems that Xiaomi is seeking to acquire GoPro in the coming days with a deal worth up to $ 1 billion, and may benefit later on in the manufacture of its phones and the development of technologies for its electronic devices.
