| Whatsapp will share the data of all its users with Facebook |
The application of "WhatsApp" confirmed that the option to prevent the application from sharing user data with Facebook is going without a return, according to Olivia Solon, journalist at Guardian.
The option disappeared at Solon, and after communicating with WhatsApp, officials confirmed that this option would disappear and that all data would go to the Facebook application, user name and phone number. The social network may therefore link Facebook accounts to WattsApp accounts in an attempt to provide a unified account one way or another.
The company has not yet talked about why it is doing this. In 2016, it began to share data with an option to disrupt this and prevent participation for privacy, waiting for human rights organizations and some government agencies to object to this matter at a significant rate.
WhatsApp just confirmed that there is no longer any way for users to opt out of sharing data with Facebook. There was a 30-day window in which you could do this in 2016, but not any more. https://t.co/DcpMhcimIy— Olivia Solon (@oliviasolon) 26 fĂ©vrier 2018
