It appears that Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850 might soon have a more affordable sibling. Alleged specs on a yet to be announced Samsung SM-A500 smartphone made the rounds on the web.
Reportedly, the abovementioned handset will be a mid-range model with decidedly upmarket look and feel. The device is said to feature body made entirely of metal. The latter is barely believable, as even the Korean giants high-end devices such as the Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge pack metal frame with faux leather back cover.
Reportedly, Samsung SM-A500 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with quad-core CPU and 16GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card slot. The devices display is tipped to be a 5 Super AMOLED unit with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
An 8MP main camera, coupled with 5MP front-facing unit, and a 2,330mAh non-removable battery with Ultra Power Saving mode complete the leaked specs. Samsung SM-A500 will not be water and dust resistant.
A mid-range smartphone with premium appeal will surely help Samsungs cause in todays ultra-competitive marketplace. Well keep a close look on more details about this one.
