Apple iPhone 6 front panel's final assembly leaks

Tags: Apple , iOS , Rumors

As Apple is preparing for September 9 when the iPhone 6 will debut, the phone's production is going at full speed. As a result, we can take a glimpse at the final assembly of the iPhone 6's front panel.

One of the most anticipated new features of the iPhone 6 is the long-rumored sapphire display. However, it's not apparent if it takes part in these final assembly shots. The photos in question portray the 4.7" version, but there are also rumors of a 5.5" phablet that could potentially be announced next month or later in the Fall.

In one of the photos, you can see how the iPhone 6 with its 4.7" display sits in the hands. The display is rumored to pack a resolution of 960 x 1,704 pixels. We've witnessed a slew of dummy units of the phone, with a recent one having the following dimensions – 137.5 x 67 x 7mm. For reference, the iPhone 5s is 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm.

Further rumors suggest the iPhone 6 is going to retain its 8MP rear camera and Apple won't upgrade it to a 10MP one with a faster F/1.8 aperture.

We also reported on a Chinese ad flyer, which displays both the 4.7" and 5.5" iPhone 6 variants and their respective prices - $850 (RMB 5,288) and $1012 (RMB 6,288). September 9 is less than a month away, so Apple should better be ready and have the iPhone 6 assembly line working 100%.
