Amazon makes dash for fresh food market - The Australian

AMAZON has stepped up its assault on America's grocery market with a new handheld device that allows shoppers to buy fresh food from home.

The Dash scans barcodes and takes spoken orders through a microphone. The remote-control-like gadget connects to the internet over home wi-fi networks, sending data to customers' Amazon accounts.
