Chennai: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd on Monday said it will discontinue the sales of its premium sports utility vehicle X-Trail and the 370Z Coupe in India to focus more on locally made models.
The company imports these two models, fully built, from Japan or Europe. It will, however, continue to sell the Teana luxury sedan in India.
"The company plans to concentrate on products tailored for India and delivering more value to its customers," said the company in a statement.

The Japanese carmaker currently sells the Micra Active , Micra, Sunny , Evalia and Terrano in India, all of which are made at the company's manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Chennai, where it has an annual capacity to make 400,000 cars.
