Increasing its touch portfolio, Sony introduced the new Vaio Flip (F13N, F14N, F15N), which features a hinge that provides users with new ways to use their mobile PCs while still enjoying the full functionality of a traditional clamshell laptop. The new Vaio Flip is available in 13-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch sizes.
Metis Learning introduced Eddy, which is claimed to be India's first Android-based learning tablet for kids, in India. Priced at Rs 9,999, the tablet is targeted at children aged between 2-10 years.
Swipe launched its MTV Slash 4X voice-calling tablet launched at Rs 9,999. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and will be available starting February 1.
In a bid to increase its market share and compete with rivals in the mid-range smartphone category, Apple reintroduced its 4-year-old smartphone, iPhone 4 (8GB), in India at Rs 22,900.
Dell announced its first major launch with the introduction of 'Venue' line up of Android and Windows-based devices in India. The tablets are priced between Rs 10,999 and Rs 26,499.
iBall launched the Slide 7236 2G tablet in India at Rs 7,499. It has a 7-inch display and comes with dual-SIM support.
WickedLeak launched its new tablet - Wammy Ethos Tab 3 - in India at Rs 10,990. It is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB DDR3 of RAM, and has dual-SIM capabilities.
