Samsung's strategy of flooding the market with different screen sizes and devices at varying price points reached a new level with its latest tablet offering.
The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (7-inch) is the fourth member of the Galaxy Tab 3 line of tablets, which was introduced last year. Positioned primarily as an entry-level tablet, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (7-inch) runs on a Marvell PXA986 dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
It comes with 8GB internal storage and is augmented with a micro-SD memory card slot that supports memory cards up to 32GB. The tablet also sports a 2-megapixel rear camera, but lacks a front-facing camera for video conferencing.
Judging from the naming convention, we will not be surprised if Samsung eventually launches two "Lite" variants of the Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) and Tab 3 (10.1).
The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (7-inch) will be available in global markets in two colours: black and white.
