Dell brings the 8-inch Venue 8 Pro to India - Firstpost

Dell launched two Android tablets in India today , but the company is showing some love for Microsoft Windows too. In addition to the Venue 7 and Venue 8, Dell also announced two Windows 8.1 tablets in India, Venue 8 Pro and the Venue 11 Pro. The smaller tablet will be available next month for Rs 26,499, while Dell has not stated the release date of the Venue 11 Pro.

The Venue 8 Pro flaunts an 8-inch (1280×800 pixels) display, which is identical to the one on the Venue 8. It's powered by an Intel Atom Z3740D quad-core SoC, that is part of Bay Trail chips from the company. The chipset is clocked at 1.8GHz and is couple with 2GB of RAM, that sounds ample for a tablet this size.

Other features include a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera, which are in line with what we expect from a tablet in this range. You can get the tablet with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. Connectivity options are the standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Venue 11 Pro, on the other hand, is more interesting, as it brings a full HD display in a 10.8-inch panel. It's also powered by the same Bay Trail chip, but gets better camera specs. There's an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, along with 32 or 64GB configurations and the standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options. Dell has not announced the price of this tablet, and neither is there any word on the availability of this tablet.
