Micromax launches Bolt A51 smartphone - Times of India



NEW DELHI: Indigenous smartphone maker Micromax has launched a new budget smartphone named Bolt A61. The handset has been priced at Rs 4,999 and comes with a 4-inch screen and competes against the likes of Nokia Asha 501 and Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo and Galaxy Star.

The new Bolt A61 smartphone has a 4-inch TFT screen with 800x480p resolution and 233ppi pixel density. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 256MB RAM. This phone packs 512MB of internal storage and can support microSD card up to 16GB.


Connectivity suite of Micromax Bolt A61 includes 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. It has a 2 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. Its 1,500mAh battery offers talk time of 4 hours, according to the manufacturer.


Some of the apps that come preloaded on the phone include Kingsoft Office, Hike, Spuul, Opera and MiLive.
