For many people this seems to be a dream come true. BSNL launches biggest phablet Penta Smart PS650 with 6.5 display $Rs 8K besides a smaller 5-incher handset for Rs 7k.

BSNL or Bharat Snachar Nigam Limited seems to have launched the biggest phablet in the country. Its Penta Smart PS650 with 6.5 inch display at Rs 8000 is the biggest handset launched. To be true it is almost as big as seven inch tablet and looks awkwardly huge in one's hand while one is making call.

But if you thought that it was its week point, you were off the mark. Smartphones in India are sold in larger number if they come with huge display size and lowest of the low price. So you could have simply written it off had the phablet or the super sized smartphone was priced at Rs 30000 or Rs 40000. But at just Rs 8000 the handset seems destined to become a hot selling handset in the market as people will be able to double it up as a handset with tablet features. So it is going to be a huge success in the Indian market in the days to come.

Many people believe that the handset is going to help the sate run company win many fans in the days to come. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is a struggling giant owned by Indian government. Despite having one of the biggest infrastructures, it still somehow fails to get good market response. But now it has come with a winning option and has come out with some good smartphones and tablets to entice the shoppers this festival season and people who want to get hold of some great handsets and tablets with some good data plan.

The company besides two handsets has also introduced a good quality entry level feature phone. While entry level handsets are feature phones with basic internet features and facebook and twitter features, the midrange handsets are great and simply enticing for smartphone mavens. Its basic feature handset comes at a very low price of Rs.1,799. Its two smartphones are launched in association with Pantel Technologies. The entry-level feature phone is named PentraBharat that shows the coming together of the two companies. At Rs 1799, the handset also comes with 1200 minutes of free talktime from the state owned company.

The company as well as the manufacturer of the handsets are ecstatic about the chances of their success. A press release by the two companies is all praise for the handsets on the offer. "It is India's first internet access ready phone at this price and has been designed specially for e-governance applications for the common man". On the other hands the two smartphones come at Rs.6,999 and Rs.7,999. One of the two smartphones come with almost a tablet sized display. Penta Smart PS650 with 6.5 display comes at Rs.7,999. It is powered by dual core processor and comes bundled with three GB of BSNL 3G data and 300 minutes of talk-time.

Besides the 6.5 incher phablet the state run company is also introducing a slightly lower end handset in the form of 5-incher PentaSmart P501. The handset is priced at Rs.6,999. It also has three GB of BSNL 3G data and 300 minutes of talk-time. The BSNL said, "BSNL always endeavours to serve common man, think of common man and work for common man. Keeping that spirit in mind, BSNL has bundled its data special tariff voucher with devices from Pental Technologies to make the bundled offers a lucrative one for different segments of the society". Both the smartphones simply look great.
