Cyber Monday shoppers can find plenty of deals around the web, including Amazon.com, which is offering steep discounts on its own tablets and e-readers. Amazon isn't the only place to find discounted tablets. If you're looking for a bargain, here are a few sales to check out.
First, Amazon.com knocked $50 off the price of the Kindle Fire HDX 7 tablet. The 16-GB model costs $179, the 32-GB model costs $219, and the 64-GB model costs $259. Those are for the "with offers" variants. If you want an ad-free experience on the Kindle Fire HDX 7, add $15 to each model. Amazon also slashed $50 off the 16-GB Kindle HD 7 tablet, but it has already sold through its stock of that tablet and is no longer offering the deal.
If you're looking to score a deal on an Apple iPad from Amazon, forget it. Not only is the company not offering discounts, it is often charging more for Apple's tablets. For example, it is offering the 16-GB WiFi iPad Air for $524.98. Apple charges $499 for the same tablet.

Speaking of Apple and the iPad, the company did not discount any of its tablets on Black Friday, nor is it discounting them Monday. On Friday, it offered iTunes gift cards with the iPad that ranged in value depending on the model. The tablets themselves cost full price (*cough* stingy *cough*).
Target is selling the iPad for $20 to $30 off, depending on the model.
Walmart is offering $10 price cuts on older iPads, but still charging full price for the new ones. Best Buy is not offering online discounts for the iPad, either. Best Buy is, however, offering last year's Microsoft Surface RT tablet for just $200. That's a bargain.
Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart are all offering various discounts on Android tablets and tons of other gear. Best Buy, for example, knocked $50 off the price of the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition tablet. Target, too, is selling a number of Android tablets at discounts ranging between $10 and $50.
A word to the wise: Don't be fooled by deals on no-name Android tablets. Many off-brand tablets are on sale Monday for prices near $100. Stick with higher-quality tablets if at all possible, even if it means spending a bit more.
