Google Play is now a little more tablet friendly.
The Android maker on Thursday announced that the Google Play store now includes a category called "Designed for tablets." Those on a tablet will see that as their default view, though they can still access non-tablet apps from the device.
Google announced that it would be making the Play marketplace more tablet-friendly earlier this year. In addition to its new tag, Google added a "tablet optimization tips" section to its app Developer Console. If any issues are listed under that listing, an app won't be eligible for the "Designed for tablets" listing. Once those issues are resolved, the app can then be included in the category.
Google is rolling out the new feature now. The company didn't say when the rollout will be completed.
