NEW DELHI: Electric vehicles have not been able to catch much attention of the Indian customers. Now, there is a plan to allow customers to hire and drive the vehicles to highlight their affordability and eco friendliness.

Mahindra Reva, the maker of the four seater-e2o electric small car and a part of the $16.2-billion Mahindra group, has tied up with the country's largest cab company Carzonrent to offer self-drive options in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. To start with, five electric cars would be available in each of these cities that can be booked on phone like any other cab, along with additional options of online booking.
